A small hallway enters past the full-bath and kitchen into the living room. The kitchen provides all the space needed for meal preparation as well as dishes, utensils, full-size fridge with large freezer, four-burner stove with oven, microwave, dining counter and more. A clothes washing machine is available.
There are two bedrooms off the living room, one with private bath and the other with a great lake view. Both have full-size beds, dressers, and room to store personal items.

A Mayan stone stairway guides you from the private parking area down the gentle slope to Casa Carrizo. Large trees shade the yard and a beautiful garden highlights the entrance to this charming, breezy house overlooking Laguna Bacalar. 
The living room has two walls of opening windows allowing breeze and providing a great view of the gardens, trees and the lake. Seating for six to eight, hammock hooks, as well as lamps and tables make this a great place to hang out when entertaining, during evenings, or in inclement weather.
The living room leads to a huge covered porch overlooking the lake. Tables, chairs, and hammocks allow the space to be arranged to suit the tenant, but a stunning view of dawn and the sun's progress across the lake is assured.
Beneath the porch is a large space that can be used as a bedroom, an office, a game-room, or water-sports storage space, according to the renter's needs. The dock is directly in front of the house and it's easy to launch kayaks, canoes or your favorite water toy and the dock is a sunny platform for lazing around, reading, or swimming.
