Gaia in Bacalar entryGaia Restaurant, Spa, and Artist Showcase is a great place to visit for a meal or more -- less than a block from the fort. Simply walk between the fort and town square south past the Town Offices along 3rd Avenue. Beautiful architecture, a wonderful fountain, and custom-made, rustic, native-wood furniture welcome you to Gaia.

The Gaia Restaurant -- with its beautiful and comfortable dining area -- is a great place to enjoy good natural vegetarian food, drink fresh coffee or juices or natural hot chocolate, or have a glass of wine or a cold beer and botañas with family or friends. Be seated, make your pick from the menu and daily specials, and let Gaia staff serve  the restaurant’s delicious, creative vegetarian fare -- breakfast, lunch, and dinner plus snacks anytime. Home-made breads and desserts, fresh fruit and salad dishes, and freshly-prepared regional and international dishes are as pleasing to look at as to eat.
