La Escondida – A new dining option in Bacalar. Visit Sofia and Chema at La Escondida for good food, good vibes, and good prices in a place for people like you. They offer freshly prepared salads, Argentinean empanadas and tartas, hot and cold sandwiches, juices, fruit smoothies, and specialty bar drinks presented in a cozy, comfortable environment. Los Tres Reyes Magos offers great charcoal-grilled chicken. Only $70 pesos for a whole chicken, rice, tortillas, frijoles, hot sauce. Most everyone knows that if you want to eat cochinita pibil at Chepe's Restaurant, you need to get there early. Open seven days a week from 7:00 am until 11:00 am, Chepe (Jose Contreras) serves taquitos and sandwiches of cochinita pibil and grilled pork, complete with onions, beans, sauces, condiments and soft drinks.
