Want fresh-made tortillas? Try Tortilleria La Higienica conveniently located at the entrance to Bacalar on 7th Avenue and the corner of 30th Street. From 5:30 in the morning until 3:30 in the afternoon you can get hot tortillas by the kilo – as many as you want. Owned and operated for nine years by Dalia Un Chimal, Tortilleria La Higienica uses only the best-quality ingredients to produce some of Bacalar’s tastiest tortillas.

El Semillero Certified Organic Orchard in Chachobben pueblo grows a great variety of fresh tropical fruits and offers a Gourmet Organic Line of Products made with its harvest. Most everyone knows that if you want to eat cochinita pibil at Chepe's Restaurant, you need to get there early. Open seven days a week from 7:00 am until 11:00 am, Chepe (Jose Contreras) serves taquitos and sandwiches of cochinita pibil and grilled pork, complete with onions, beans, sauces, condiments and soft drinks. Every taquito is made by hand. Eat in or take out; call cell 983 102-4251 to talk about special events or larger take-out orders.

Taquería Christian offers delicious carne al pastor in tacos and sandwiches. Corn or flour tortillas, bottled soft drinks and water, plus tasty sauces. Open seven days a week from 6:30 pm until mid-night. On Calle 18, right around the corner from 7th Ave just two blocks from the church, we’re easy to find.
