The Mayan ruins of the Yucatan remind us of the geographical span, cultural richness, and architectural greatness of the Mayan civilization. Licensed guide Veronica Basañez, with more than seven years of study and immersion in the culture, brings a wealth of information about this ancient culture during her tours. She offers not only informed descriptions and explanations of what visitors see around them, she brings the cities and civilization -- past and present -- to life.

Veronica provides a background presentation on each to orient your travelers, allowing them to understand as much as possible and ask questions about what they see and learn. Cost depends upon group size, tour duration, and the supplemental activities visitors want.

Veronica (who lives in Chachobben) has worked at Quintana Roo ruins from Tulum to Calakmul and is familiar with Maya history and geography. Her specialty is a Chachobben combination tour. First, visit the archeological site to experience first-hand what a great Maya city was like. Then, visit the Mayan village of Chachobben to see, taste, and enjoy contemporary Maya life.
